"A tree with solids roots will flower many fruits..."
Our Mission Statement
Roxbury Roots Montessori, Inc. seeks to offer an affordable, child-centered, authentic, high-quality, African-centered, Montessori program in Roxbury--an historically underserved community.
Our Vision
Roxbury Roots Montessori, Inc. is a member of the Wildflower Schools Network, serving children aged 2.9 through 6-years-old. Our school is unique, in that we offer an African-centered curriculum based within the Montessori pedagogy. Our vision is to bring high-quality, affordable, Montessori education to the Greater Boston area. As a community-based program, we aim to work closely with parents, Roxbury community members, and the Wildflower network to expose children to languages and positive images of peoples from the Black diaspora, thus instilling a sense of pride and empowerment in our students.
All Are Welcome
Roxbury Roots Montessori, Inc. admits students of any race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in administration of their educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, loan programs, athletics, and other school administered programs.
